The PSSLAI is a non-stock, non-profit savings and loan association for the PNP that began its operations on July 1, 2003. Its main objective is to provide our PNP personnel, uniformed and non-uniformed, investment opportunities and immediate access to funds and help them cope with the rising needs of daily living.

There are two types namely:

PSSLAI Honors Late President Aquino’s PNP Honor Guard

The Public Safety Savings and Loan Association, Inc. (PSSLAI) salutes PO1 Danilo A. Malab, Jr. for exhibiting exceptional discipline as CORTEGE HONOR GUARD during the burial of the late President Corazon Cojuangco Aquino.

In recognition of PO1 Malab’s extraordinary performance, which earned praises not only for himself but also for the whole PNP organization, PSSLAI awarded the following:

  • A free membership with initial deposit of Php 10,000 in capital contribution
  • A free enrollment to the PNP-PSSLAI HEALTHCARE PROGRAM (courtesy of FORTUNECARE and ATR-KIMENG)

The said items and privileges were turned over to PO1 Malab, Jr. during the PNP’s Monday Flag Raising Ceremony at Camp Crame, Quezon City where he was also promoted by the Chief of the Philippine National Police to the rank of Police Officer 2. The ceremony was also attended by the members of the PSSLAI Board of Trustees namely: PDG Jesus Ame Versoza (Chairman of the Board); Lucas M Managuelod (Vice-Chairman); Ernesto V Belen (President/CEO); Trustees Clyde L Fernandez ; Romeo O Odi; and PSSUPT Wency T Pascual.

And as part of the BALIK TANAW PROGRAM which aims to empower partnership between PSSLAI and the PNP, other items were also donated to various PNP units during the said ceremony:

  1. PROJECT MANAGEMENT OFFICE (PMO)

    Part of the donations awarded during the August 10, Flag Raising Ceremony at Camp Crame, Quezon City

    ITEMS:

    • 17 units laptops
    • 17 units printer

    AMOUNT: Php 595,800.00

  1. DIRECTORATE FOR INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATIONS TECHNOLOGY MANAGEMENT (DICTM)

    ITEMS:

    • 4 units personal computer
    • 4 units printer

    AMOUNT: Php 77,574.00

  2. PNP HEALTH SERVICE:

    ITEM: Operating Table with C-Arm photographing functions for the conduct of orthopedic surgical procedures at the PNP General Hospital.

    AMOUNT: Php 1,000,000.00

    TOTAL AMOUNT DONATED: Php1,673,374

There were also several donations to various PNP units that were turned over during PSSLAI’s 6th Anniversary Celebration held last July 6, 2009 at the PNP Multipurpose Hall, Camp Crame, Quezon City, to wit:

    Amount: Php 61,100.00

  2. PNP FINANCE SERVICE

    ITEMS:

    Amount: Php 578,632

  3. SPECIAL ACTION FORCE (NCR)

    ITEMS:

    • 3 units personal computer
    • 3 printers
    • 1 digital camera
    • 1 unit STAGEPAS 300 Public Announcement System amounting

    Amount: Php 96,000
