The year 2008 was a triumphant year for the association considering the decrease in loans for most SLAIs and PLIs. This, we see as a result of the continuous sponsorship and support given by the PNP.

The association closes its book with loans amounting to 3.138B from January to December of 2008 as compared to only 2.251B last 2007 or an increase of .887B.

To date, the association stands out as the most accepted SLAI by the PNP personnel. From the mere 54Million capitalization in 2003, PSSLAI now boasts of its 5 Billion assets with more than 63,000 members nationwide.

Our MARKETING TEAM was continuously embraced and welcomed by PNP-PSSLAI members. The PSSLAI Membership and Loan Caravan unrelentingly solicited memberships as well as granting of instant loans from far-flung areas that cannot be serviced by our satellite offices. For January to May, our marketing team was able to conduct a total of 18 marketing trips and has solicited 1,395 new memberships and has granted 283.23M in loans.

The triumph of PSSLAI of course is a result of the continuous backing and support given by the PNP. As a result, the Association recently launched the BALIK TANAW PROGRAM as a manifestation of its gratitude for the constant patronage it has bestowed upon the association.

As of May, the association was able to turn over donations ranging from computers, printers, cameras, communication equipments, recreational items, furniture and fixtures. The association has already assisted a total of 117 donees from the PNP institution thru donations.
